[PLUGIN] Clay.io (leaderboards & achievements)

  • I'll have to come up with some variation of that target platform for those features, though it won't be for a little while. I'm leaving Saturday morning for a vacation through the 12th, and my plan is to not work during that period.

    For now you can see the difference in the "Play Views" stat and "Views" stat - "Play Views" are only logged when it's played from Clay.io, and "Veiws" are logged each time the API is loaded. I've wanted to make some big improvements to the analytics portion for a while now, but with the long list of other things that need to be done, I can't say for sure when that will be.

    We realize we need money to keep things going, so that is a big focus of ours moving forward, whether it be from investment or, more preferably, revenue.

    Oh Man. Clay.IO must keep going. It should not be stopped. Please Austin, make a Monthly Subscription Fees or something.. Even KickStarter. Clay.io its very promising and I would hate to see it ends like Playtomic.

    Great, this is enough this time... I see that the analytics rewrite is a huge work, it may change everything if you implement platform as a filter for every metric.

  • Hey, if you log in using facebook with Clay.io, can I use the facebook plugin without logging in a second time?

  • I've started to test my game in the CocoonJS, what have Clay.io in it. Unfortunately this not works in the CocoonJS Android launcher, the CCJS gives me an error: CCJS can not open the hhtp://clay.io/api.js.

    @austin can you run some tests with CocoonJS? It would be great to use clay.io in Android/iOS!

  • fixer368 if you're talking about the facebook post API, then it shouldn't ask you for Facebook permissions again, but if you're talking about putting your game on Facebook and linking achievements it will (because it is asking for permission to your Facebook App specifically so it can associate the achievements with the game).

    @Epox I can when I get back from vacation. At first glance, (it's probably just a typo on here) but did you try hhtp://clay.io/api.js or clay.io/api/api.js

    This is what I get on the debugger alongside a black screen. Is it really the case of clay.io and CocoonJS not working together?

    I like the fact that we have a great tool to make games without coding (c2), a great way to publish them on android (cocoonjs) and now a very cool system to maintain high scores (clay.io) but the sum is greater than the parts and as long as they don't work together, they sum to nothing. :/

    further information:

    I'm not using facebook api. I only have a basic leaderboard setup that sends scores upon game over and populates a text boxt with Clayio.LeaderboardScore(loopindex) and Clayio.LeaderboardName(loopindex)

  • Wronghands - have you tried downloading this file and packaging that in the game?

    I do know that Clay.io can play nicely with CocoonJS as I've spoken with someone who was able to do it successfully

  • Hi austin I'm making a game with construct for the BB Playbook and I'm using your plugin, everything is working fine, but I can't close any of the windows with the "X" that are on top of them. Any ideas.

    If I test the game on the emulator is working fine and I can close the windows with the mouse.

  • That's odd that it works in the emulator :/ I made one minor change that *might* fix things but I really doubt it.

    Does clicking other items in the API work? For example, if it's the login modal, does the login button work? Or the Clay.io link?

    @austin Yes, I can login. I haven't tested the Clay.io link but I'll tested it and update this post.

    EDIT:

    The create account works,so the sign into clay link. But the clay.io link doesn't. The providers links doesn't work either... <img src="smileys/smiley3.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
