Very well animated teddy bear suitable for platformer, runner and more 2D games
• Hi everybody! This is pretty much my first post and I would like to show you all my first game I made: Pixel Bear! You can play it in the Arcade here: scirra.com/arcade/action/2685/pixel-bear/comments

I created all the sprites by myself at 16x16 pixels and then resized them to 64x64, and used the infinite jumper layout heavily for the gameplay. The music was done by a friend, Lasz, special thanks out to him! I could not figure out how to make a working High Score, so if anyone has an idea how to this or a link that would be great! I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback and critiques! Hope you enjoy Pixel Bear! :D

• Very nice game!

I like the graphics and music.

I have never played this exact type of

game before, its new to me :)

Well done

• hey amazing game but the jump cycle could be a bit more smooth

• Cool game! I agree with dylan1313 that the jumps could be smoother, but other than that everything seemed great. Perhaps you could include some powerups or upgrades into the game?

• The game is cool, I?ve played few games like this (starting form "Doodle jump") and the graphics are nice too, but here is a very critical problem with the game (and I think I know where the problem is coming from): There is a problem with the jump. When you touch a platform, the character jumps suddenly to another Y position, wich is very strangre for the player.

I think this is hapenning because you have different animations for the player (standing up & Jumping), but they have the origin point setted up in different positions (look for it on the sprite?s animation window).

Fix that and the game will be much better.

• Try Construct 3

• Thanks for your feedback guys! Its true, the bear does have the same height on both poses (64 pixels tall) but his origin point was different, I will correct this and update soon!

EDIT: Updated the game! Now the bear jumps "smoothly", the blood is gone and a different game over for hitting bombs! Enjoy!

• Update! I couldn't figure out how to make a High Score system so I used the clay.io one instead. Now you can play Pixel bear here pixelbear.clay.io and your High Scores will be recorded! Enjoy!
