Dungeonfall with demo | dev log

  • Hi, this is the game I am currently working on.

    There is no game title yet.

    Genre: Shooting - platformer - RPG!?

    Player need to breakthrough dungeon and make it to the bottom.

    Graphic: 16bit pixel [tileset by td2tl]

    4 types of upgradable weapon:

    Machine Gun

    Average damage with average shooting speed

    Trick Shot

    low shooting speed with bounce bullet

    Laser

    Highest damage, slowest speed (shoot through obstacle)

    Laser2

    The fastest shooting speed but lowest damage.

    5 Stages

    Stage 1: Cave

    Stage 2: Garden

    Stage3: City of death

    Stage 4: Underwater

    Stage 5: Volcano

    Game Instructions

    Keyboard:

    ASD - Character moving

    K/Space/ mouse click - Action/Shoot/Jump

    Gamepad:

    Left Axis - Moving

    Button A - Action / Shoot / Jump

    Left / Right Trigger - Moving/Swapping (Menu)

  • I do not know if this is the mechanic of this kind of game, but if you start a free fall, just dodging the enemies and do not killing them, they start to chase and acumulate on screen and that make the game so hard.

    maybe, if you gain some distance, the enemies rest behind and dont chase the player. do not need to be all the kind of enemies or put different distances for each kind of enemy to stop chase the player.

    also, you could put some bonus for finishing the level less than an predicted time or/and without killing any enemy.

    I like how the weapon works , the effects and also it's so cool controls !

    Thanks nemezes, the current range for Line of sight should be around 500 -1000, I will try to reduce it base on each monster.

    I am still thinking how to implementing a good clear bonus, It is in my TDL.

    As for non kill bonus, it quite impossible.
