  • Hi guys <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> I just made the beginner tutorial and get completely happy with the easy and graphical way games can be done with Cosntruct. I'll buy it on a few weeks <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I just checked the frecuently asked questions and the links to this topics aren't working.

How can I make a running/jumping animation on the character?

For example, if I press the left key, his legs move.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Currently you have to set the animations for the sprite in the event sheet. For example to get the character to display a jump animation when he's jumping you would have this:

player|Platform is jumping -> player|set animation to "jumping"

So you need to add animations for every movement to the sprite then trigger them in the event sheet.

  • skyhunter93: Could you please tell me what links are not working in the FAQ ?

I've followed the links in the "Animations" section and they all worked for me.

Be sure to let me know so I can fix any link that would need it.

  • Thanks it was quite simple <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

The link was 'Set the animation according to a key pressed', but I just looked and its working today.
