Minimal Sprite Font with Stroke for Pixel Art games.
• Does any one know of a way to skew a sprite? I have been searching the forums with no luck. I notice that it was available in Construct Classic but I can not find it in Construct2.

• Skewing is not supported in Construct 2.

• I found that I can achieve perspective with Pode's Image Effects and text on Sprites plugin. The result so far isn't the best but it may be a solution. Thanks Pode.

Edit:

In case you can't find it. I can't remember if this was the one I used so no guarantee these are up to date.

Wow~ it's Pode 's repo!

• rexrainbow : yes, it's my repo . Everything there is also here on the forum.

• Pode - what is the audio plus plugin if you don't mind me asking?

• CrudeMik : I did't do anything fancy with audio. I can't check it for the moment, but I know that, with C2, I did that :

• audiosprites (for iOS)
• mic access/MP3,OGG compression with a hidden flash applet
• inject base64 for audio (and that didn't worked weel at that time).
• ah cool just curious :)

• Pode rexrainbow I figured so much but I didn't know for sure. Thanks for all the work you have done in C2. I am creating an interactive transmedia music video, possibly using C2.

• I too would like to be able to skew, mesh-warp, or corner-pin a sprite, and am wondering if this could be done with a WebGL plugin?

• matthornb : it can be done with WebGL or (more difficultly) with and JS. I have a plugin nearly finished for that, the problem is that I didn't got the time to polished it since three months. When it's done, I'll publish it here.

• Very interested to see this plugin. It would be a massively valuable tool - to be able to skew and distort sprites as well as background tiles and 9-patch items.

I'm currently struggling with a technique for creating naturalistic terrain using the current set of tools and am hitting a bit of a wall. Basically I'm forced to either use gigantic sprites that waste memory or overlay dozens of smaller sprites in a mishmash that uses up too much CPU. Neither approach is ideal, so anything that would allow me to bridge the gap would be worth a look.

If it were possible to create some sort of extended 9-patch, that would be warped to create variation along a large area, I think I'd be set. That and the ability to mask textures to arbitrary shapes rather than being restricted to rectangles.

Oh, and a ham sandwich... with a pickle.

• I've been using the mode7 plugin on sprites to warp them a bit. Still needs work with the pseudo 3d engine though as getting the angles right is a bit tricky.

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Any news on this mate!?
