my game run slowly in android !

  • hi i created a simple game with construct 2 and when i playing in android -> running very slow

    i deleted above 100 event of my game but running slow yet !

    (i use platform behavior for my player because physics are not good )

  • Maybe the problem is to android compiler you use, not to construct 2.. Try to export and test to some compilers like cocoonjs, intel xdk, etc

    I had too, "slow" problems.. and i try in construct 2 to have less memory.

    For example.. small size of images, not too big layout and of course less code.

    I hope someday, construct 2 to create a ready for use android compiler.. or to do something with the memory!

    But i use small image and i use only 8 sprite without scale size

    I try game without compiler (play with google chrome online ) but when i use intel xdk my game run slowly too

  • You mean.. you run the game in chrome and is still slow?

    If yes... It's some strange. Which version of construct you use? Maybe something is buggy. Like some behavior, i don't know..

    Also check the points inside your sprites. More points, more memory..

    If you use small images, the next step, check the code. Maybe you can change a bit with different behaviors, events, whatever

    Intel xdk is slowly compiler. Try cocoonjs, i think you will see difference..

  • no i run in google chrome with ip -> 192.168.1.6:50000 and run in my phone google chrome but running slow like intel xdk (not difference between compiled game or on browser game )

  • Yeah, pretty jerky. It settles down after 30 sec but then still has occasional jitter even on pc.

  • orache - Did you build for Crosswalk? That is the webview that gives you the performance improvements.

  • Yes i build for crosswalk. I think this problem is for construct 2 i created a project for test . in this project only one sprite created and and after 2 sec deleted -> after 2-3 min lag start and game run slowly .....

  • Didn't have any lag at all for me when I tested it. O.O

  • I've just tried your project using cocoonJS on my android tablet ( the oner i use for testing is deliberately low specs) and i got around 28FPS a second at first then 5 seconds in i got 30-48 FPS which is smooth enough on this slow tablet . To use the cocoonJS wrapper all you need is the cocoon JS launcher on your android device and a cocoon js account

    First make an account the install the launcher next export your project to cocoonjs to do this you will have to right-click on your export options and choose show depricated exporters. Cocoonjs will appear then. This will export a zip file, put that on your android device and run the cocoonjs launcher. Choose your apps at the bottom click documents locate your zip file and click canvas+ . I did this and it worked ok on a slow tablet and I've also had trouble with the intel XDK for frame rate.

    Any questions on this proccess just ask.

  • wow runnig very good with cocoonJS 2 mount ago i created a game and build with crosswalk and but that run slow . today i build it with cocoonjs and playing it very good without any delay !! also my game size in old was 25 mb and now it is only 16 mb that is very good because my game is very simple !

    .

    but i can not change game icon and when i start game in first it showing " powered by ludei " can i deleted it ?
