  • Hi,

I'd like to create different objets (same instances or not) with the "physics" behavior, but I'd want them to interact with the ground (bouncing etc.) but not with each others, like if there was no collision...

    Is it possible? (I hope so <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />)

    Thanks!!!

  • In construct classic there was an action for this, so it's possible.. just has not been added.

  • Not possible at the moment without some crazy antics to quickly swap object types while acknowledging all the forces.

  • Ok, I see :) :(

Am I the only one who would need such an action?

  • I think there may be a workaround here. I haven't really checked for myself the all of the expressions physics can do for C2.

I was able to do this before in CC and all I did was:

'If A collides with B then disable Solid' (or something like that). You may also add a condition where if they're not colliding, then Solid is On. Of course, I needed to do it with families which is currently absent in C2.

  • Ragtime - You're not the only one who would use it, I want that feature too.

  • Yeah that would be a great feature, Is it possible for the future Ashley?

  • It would be really really great... Wouldn't it? (<img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />)

  • I second that <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I haven't used Physics yet, but one of my planned projects seems like it would be pretty difficult to do without this feature. Consider it third'd! <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Just to add to the list I'm really missing it too. It is essential to most of my ideas involving physics.

  • How to integrate such an useful feature to a next release?

Does the community have to ask/vote or is it hopeless? <img src="smileys/smiley30.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Ragtime I presume if a topic comes up ALLOT Ashley will just automatically introduce it into a later build, Or depending on the difficulty or programming it add it to his 'list' of things he's planning.

But often in the Construct2 General forum users will add a topic, like:

    [suggestion]Suggestion here

    Description.

And 9 times out of 10 Ashley himself will see the tread and let you know.

  • Hello. Just saw your suggestion. I made an example of multiple physics layers here. I'm sure it's possible to go quite far with it, even though a special action would be perfect.

  • Yeah I need it really bad in my current Project
