"Player X invites player Y to the game" -> They now are in a peer2peer connection with each other until they disconnect.

How do I do this?

Is there any guides or templates I can work from?

I don't know how exactly make an peer-to-peer server. But, you can create a chat room and array conecctions between players using the Multiplayer object.
