How do I show waveform of a audio in C2

I want to show waveform of a audio and when user click play it will highlights the audio portion in timeline as well.

And it is possible to record an audio file from a microphone in real-time with C2.

I think you should take a look at the audio analyzer example. I don't know how to record audio though. Maybe with the User Media object?

I have seen this example earlier. But I want something like this (http:// wavesurfer-js . org). It a simple js based Web Audio Waveform Visualizer. Do we have any similar stuff. Or can we use above wavesurfer-js through js sdk? And how difficult to build the same?

I would say that you should do the same as the audio analyzer example does. But you should create more of those lines that show the wave as the music goes on instead of using the same lines and resizing them all the time.
