anyway to make a 1 to 1 scale in run layout, and or any tips / tricks to get better quality textures when i run layout. its not horrible but it looks fairly 'gross' when i run layout. stretch my images and seems to add like a opaqueish blur to them.

Are you using sprites for your objects? If so they look really bad when you stretch them, try using a 9-patch or tiled background for images you want to stretch out.
Try reuploading the source images to be 1.5x the sizes you want them to appear in game. That turns out to have pretty good quality.
