  • Hi everyone!!

First of all, let me tell you I am not a programmer or a computer genious...my question may sound a bit naive, but I'm having a serious issue here when it comes to global variables.

The thing is, I want to keep the score while changing layouts, in this simple game (is more of a quizz, actually) in order to use it with my students. I teach English in a primary school here in Portugal and I'm trying to develop some new ideas/ways of teaching...I've tried different ways, read a lot of stuff here in the forums, but still I wasn't able to sort it out.

Here's a capx of it. Like I said, quite simple.

Seemed like you simply didn't have the text object in layout 3. I also cleaned up the events for you. When you have events of hovering over objects, you can have the default action in a "every tick" event (like the set mouse cursor) and only change it when you hover over the button, otherwise there's a conflict.

And I recommend you change the collision polygon on the objects, because it is what sets the area of the image you can click.

God.....I guess I was being quite dumb.....but I didn't read nowhere that I had to put the text box in all layouts.....as it was global. Well, nevermind. Thanks a lot, 7Soul!! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
