  • I get something like this error:

I tried modifiying the .jsproj file but no luck yet. Any way to get it working with Visual Studio 15? I sincerely don't want to instal VS 2015, messes too much with the registry - they fixed this in Visual Studio 15.

  • Are you sure you installed the right components of VS? That looks like the message when you miss a component.

After that, I installed every single package the preview allowed me and still got the same error, previously I used the Unity 3D package only: http://i.imgur.com/Zg1ihna.png

Mind that this is Visual Studio "15", not Visual Studio 2015. That new installer will be the standard for every new install of what it will be VS 2016. Download here: https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/ ... wnloads-vs

Maybe it's too bleeding edge for C2 right now =P

I installed Visual Studio 2015 anyways, and I got another bug with UWX apps.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I wanted to post a followup on this since VS "15" Preview 4 was released:

I'm not sure what are the bare mininum packages yet, but I was able to load the project correctly, and try a debug with a Windows Store object (with Test Mode On).

Will update with more news later.

  • i think you should try this:

export game as html, open visual studio 2015 (not "15", that's an old preview version), download newest (google download visual studio community).

when installing make sure you install CORDOVA tools, you can also find them on https://taco.visualstudio.com/

then open vs, start new project - cordova html app. once created make sure you import your files into that project (not gonna go in details how, figure it out youself <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">)

compile and run = gg wp.

if you want to add crosswalk over it, you can through plugin manager, it will install automatically and all set up. you can then add the "fixes" for ignoring blacklist and so on..

compile again and you got your game with crosswalk.

oh yeah, that's for android & ios. if you're doing UWP then running the solution file should work.

The whole idea of this thread is to use VS "15", not Visual Studio 2015. VS "15" latest version (Preview 4) was released yesterday: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/news ... 5-relnotes

  • so as much as i see, it's basically beta of visual studio 2015, or 2016 or whatever they will call the next one.

i'd go with stable if i were you, leave betas for now out, especially if you're doing a release games.

  • Yeah, it's a beta, but I'm using C2 to publish very small apps for now. Considering that I only use VS to edit a couple things and publish, a 6 GB minimum install + all the "bloat" they add to a PC it's a lot.

I'm trying to and make VS "15" work now ASAP. It seems that the latest version, Preview 4, already works, so now it's time to find out exactly what packages do we need.

I hope we get fixes (Windows Store plugin) along this Xbox fad soon, because right now microtransactions don't work.
