Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • Hello, since this is my first post I might as well introduce myself, I'm Vinnyboiler. I'm a college student studying games design.

My college got me using the free version of Construct 2 which I understand would turn to licensed if I have a certain text file in my documents, unfortunately I did a stupid thing and brought a Construct 2 personal license off Steam instead which requires Steam to be installed on a computer to be able to use.

My problem is that my college can't have Steam installed which then prohibits me from using my construct license on college computers. Is there any work around to this or do I have to bang my head on my desk till I get the message to read before I buy?

  • Sorry, Steam licenses aren't transferrable to the standalone version from our site. Your best bet would be to try and get a refund off Steam then purchase directly from our site again.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

This is practically impossible. Steam refunds without hassle the first time, but then "flags" your account making future refunds extremely difficult, even if the product is bad or doesn't work.

This is not scirra's fault, steam is just bad in that department. Be very careful when purchasing there.
