DID I MISS THE SALE?!?

  • You can go to the Open Topic forum section and see if anybody is in need of resources. Also, you can go to any website you want that has to do game dev. and offer the exchange. I was recently in need of a spriter that would help me with a rather big sprite sheet edit in exchange for a C2 licence... I made the topic here, but no luck. So I was in another forum where someone asked me for help with something about MMF2. I helped him and recommended C2... He liked it and asked about the licence, so I told him, but I also felt like I should ask if he was good at spiriting and that I would buy it for him if he helped me. He accepted and we made a deal. It was in the most unlikely place though. So, I guess there's no place unlikely enough.

  • If you posted on the open topic forum offering content in exchange for a license, this is something I would have been happy to do also. But seems someone has offered it to you allready . Good luck and enjoy C2.

you should have a read on this blog post: http://www.scirra.com/blog/71/scirra-appmobi-and-spring-time-roadmap, it outlines the roadmap for the next few releases. Really interesting read if your into mobile development.

I can tell you that we do not have any discount sales planned for the future. I still think at $79 though it still offers great value for money especially when you consider some alternatives cost more AND are yearly recurring fees!

The sale we did went on for around 6 months, I understand that some people would have forgotten to check later but the reason it was so cheap was for people willing to pay for a copy whilst taking on the risk of unstable/incomplete software. We don't think that the current state of Construct 2 reflects this risk any more so the normal price we think is now justified.

  • 79 Dollars is a deal for what you get. If you don't like it you can go pay 500 dollars a year for a game salad membership or 200 dollars a year for a corona membership.

Yes, I just started scouring the site and see how the co-op works!

Thanks for the link as I am very much interested in mobile developement!

    Tom

Thanks for the links and info on future sales. Again, I am certainly not arguing over the price of the software in the least. For what one can receives, it is by far a great deal.

Its the "just missed it" factor that had me in knots. And I missed out on a shiny medal!

    ...

  • We'll be bringing in a medal for all license holders (but the early adopter one will still stay the same and be distinct from the other ones)

  • ... Its the "just missed it" factor that had me in knots ...

Ah yes, but that's life isn't it? Don't beat yourself up about it. If I regretted every time I've missed out on a good deal, I'd be sunk in the depths of continual depression.

But with a username of TheHappyCat, that's not going to happen to you - not if I go by the all the happy contented cats I know.

  • Hi Guys

I recently found out about Scirra. The only problem is that the USD, GBP, EUR are like 10 to 15 times stronger than our currency, making is really expensive. Is here any way that I can find a way to get slight discount? I'm saving up but $119 is the equivalent of $1000 when you look at it from my side. I'm excited to buy.
