Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • Ok let's go:

Well, I'm developing a app and I will sell in Apple store and Android store. Someone here has already developed a game in Construct 2 and selled this game in two stores listed? this has already possible? Do you use Phonegap or Appmobi?

Finishing, who is better to do this? Construct 2+Phonegap or Appmobi...or Multimedia Fusion 2 with iOS exportes pack?

Please help me to choose the better and more easy program to make my app and therefore sell in two stores listed.

    Best regards and have a nice day! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I also want to know about it. I was half in doubt what the best solution ..

  • I would say C2 & Phonegap =)

  • I would say C2 & Phonegap =)

So you think that is more easy to do? I saw a movie of Multimedia Fusion 2+iOS exporter and I think that the process of export is very easy. Phonegap it's very easy too?

Multimedia Fusion 2 + iOS exporter won't put anything in the Android store. It's just for Apple. And you might want to know that the iOS exporter is an extra 99 euros on top of the 99 euro price for MF. And you have to have an Apple computer and the Apple SDK.

I believe Phonegap is free and pretty well known. But the real issue is you're comparing Construct to Multimedia Fusion and I feel that for making games, Construct is much better anyway, and more game-oriented. The best answer is to decide what kind of game you want to make and then see demo games made with each product and then get into the conversion issues.

  • I'm not sure you understand your own questions.

To put something up in Apples' Appstore you must pay them 99$ flat, regardless of the software you use, even if a free one.

No way to run away from it, no way to avoid it.

Regarding "game makers", YOU must find the one you prefer AND hope it exports to IPad/IPhone, for which you'll REQUIRE a Mac, on top of a possible insane price for the exporter alone, if not using one of the services mentioned here.

    The cheapest:

    C2 + Phonegap + Apple Dev account

    The best:

Don't know, but will be a strain on your income.

  • Yes I know all about Apple SDK 100USD/year and that need a Mac..

My question it's just if it's already 100% the functionality of Construct 2+Phonegap...

"Multimedia Fusion 2 + iOS exporter won't put anything in the Android store. It's just for Apple. "

    • Yes I know that too..but the Android exporter of MMF2 are expected to come out this year...
    • I just want to know someone that already have a app builded in Construct 2 running in a iphone, ipad or a android phone....

    thank you all!

  • There is a game called furries made by ranma:

    scirra.com/forum/furries_topic49737.html

I am also testing out the export to android, so far phonegap seems the best solution.

Here you can follow my progress:

    ohrly.net/demos/game-boing

    apk available on that site

  • Here is one important thing to keep in mind:

Since phonegap and appmobi works with the exported HTML5 from C2 it will utilize the device browser engine to run it which means there is no support for multitouch unless the browser supports it. At present i can't think of any device with a multitouch capable browser as standard so you have to keep that in mind when designing your game

Hey paobrasil, I published a C2 game on Android Market, packaged it with PhoneGap, found it relatively easy.

Here's the link: Kids Chess Logic Puzzles

Good luck and let us know which way you go and how it turns out.

Edit: I think I was the one who published the first ever C2 game on Android Market, on Jan 20 2012 <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle"> if there was a badge for first games published on some portals or markets, I'd have one <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • We're working on directCanvas acceleration for appMobi, so when that's ready it should make it a much, much better option than PhoneGap.

  • Ashley : isn't it possible to use appMobi's directCanvas in PhoneGap ? (as I can see there : http://www.appmobi.com/?q=node/153)

  • hum......good to know <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

So I need to wait a little time...
