Construct 2 Competition!

Right, small change guys! Prizes/awards are all the same, but whilst me and Ashley are deliberating the winners a public vote will run. The winner will win the "Users choice" badge:

The winner of this vote will have no influence over our decision. The vote will run for around 72 hours (3 days). The order of the vote choices will be the order the games are submitted in.

A couple questions:

Will the official decision be announced before, after, or at the same time as the users choice badge?

What type of games do you and Ashley like?

Are there any criteria besides "I like it", such as technical expertise, asset quality, control behavior, etc?

Will you comment each entry?

We like all types of games :) It's just a competition for fun, so we will be picking on the ones we find most fun.

We probably wont be commenting on each entry I am afraid. We WILL be playing every game, we guarantee that! And we will play it enough to get a good feel for it of course. There will be plenty of opportunity for community feedback, but it would take too long for us to review each one.

Kyatric Thank you very much that means a lot. It was a lot of work. I almost didn't enter because I felt a little intimidated by all the great games already entered. But like Tom said it's just a competition for fun, and there's nothing like a little friendly competition to make you try harder. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

For me, the best thing about this competition is having a deadline.. I swear, I've been creating games since I was 15 with Klik 'n Play, Multimedia Fusion, etc, and this is the first time I've actually finished a game (the frequent crashes of both said programs didn't help much).

And you always get to learn so much new stuff, too..

it's great feeling, isn't it.

Yesss, I feel accomplished hahaha... I still have much I want to do on that game tho, like adding a hat shop and integrating it better with facebook.

Yes, I also find I work best under pressure. It's almost like having a real job in the gaming industry. lol

I've had "The Final Countdown" playing in my head for the past day or so.

My entry. This is my first game with Construct2. Thanks to SCIRRA for this delicious tool and for this funny competition. This challenge gave me courage to start a games development group. Well, for awhile the group has only one member, me. haha

<font size="2">[INTRODUCTION]</font>

1. Space Jigsaw, as you see, is a jigsaw puzzle game in space. Simply Drag and drop the pieces to right place. It's our casual game experiment, somewhat like E-Card, enjoy! You can play it on PC or touch-panel devices.

2. Planet Fortress, with the last laser cannon, defend your base from the invasion of aliens. You can buy items with icon-clicking or hotkeys. Charge the energy by each shot, and cast your ultimate laser when energy full. Remember you can change the patterns of laser by moving cursor to touch the icons. Your hi-score will be stored, rechallenge it next time!

3. Mantchet*, is our ACE among 3 entries. We brought the Ancient Egyptian Gods to near future, they will pilot 7(+3) unique spacefighters and fight with each other. They have different power, speed, and armor, bullet behaviors and splendid ultimate skills. The Ultimate Cut-Ins are worth watching, too.

We also prepared some funny cheats to entertain the players who finished the games at least once.
