  • can't wait to test this out [<:o)]

  • Oh my, this sounds promising.

  • I really want to test this and see if this is the long waited cure for construct 2 games. <img src="smileys/smiley41.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Just a quick update, I've established by email they're missing some pretty essential features for C2 games like effects and tiled backgrounds. So there's some work to be done. Also don't forget directCanvas should be equally as fast as CocoonJS and we're getting closer to finishing that already.

  • Ashley, how far from releasing a C2 version with directCanvas support for Appmobi would you say you are ?

And does that work on both iOS and Android ?

    Cheers !!

  • I don't understand the steps they describe in the website:

Remove the HTML entry point file.

        Create a Canvas object manually from JavaScript. If needed, substitute document.getElementById function calls by document.createElement("canvas"); or new Canvas();

Put all your JavaScript in one file. Your whole JavaScript code should be in just one .js file.

Create a zip file with your JavaScript file and game assets. The current version of CocoonJS only loads local assets.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • CocoonJS doesn't currently support Construct2.

    As I understand the instructions:

    1. Delete the index HTML-file.

    2. In that HTML-file, there was a command to create canvas, so this should be now executed from the *js file with a command new Canvas();.

There should be only one *js file and all the java code should be in that one file.

    3. There should be no folders, so this means that all the music, *js and *png or *jpg images should be together.

    4. Select all files and create a zip.package(*zip) with winzip or winrar.

  • Don't bother trying CocoonJS, it doesn't work for the time being so even if you correctly follow the instructions it won't work.

Basseman - it's a complicated project but we're progressing, we need to wait for appMobi to make some updates to directCanvas though so it depends partly on them. They're announcing directCanvas for Android soon as well.

  • I'm glad that been working on :)

Im not anti appmobi or hate them, but still have great faith for CocoonJS to became alternative beside appmobi and phongap, especially it's free <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • as always, this community never fails to astonish me

keep up the good work, hope the result is something we all can use to create amazing stuff for mobile :)

  • Just curious if there's been any development with this? Does anybody know?

  • FredQ it's a work in progress!

  • can't wait the updates <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • It's here! Anyone with and Android phone ready ? Will there be support for iOS ?

  • Not available for the free edition though. Would be nice to have a trial to see how well it works before we make a decision on whether or not to purchase.
