(WebGL / r161) Lens Shader still working for you?

  • Hi everyone,

The very last beta update (r161) has changed some WebGL related settings.

Most of my shader effects work as usual, but the Lens shader seems very different. Is it the same for you guys?

I use it a lot in my game (to mimic Wipeout explosions, distorsion due to heat, etc...), and now I got these quads everywhere instead of distorsion.

Screenshot bellow, no Lens / Distorsion FX but quad limits glitch.

...Anything I should know about this tricky Lens Shader? :)

  • I wouldn't have thought any of the r161 changes would have affected shaders. Post a minimal .capx showing the problem to the bugs forum if you want further investigation.

  • I'm not using that shader specifically (mine is alphathreshold) and I notice that it's getting cutoff (usually in half), but I didn't check if this was bugged in the earlier versions.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Yeah, I got this glitch too, some particles are cut right as it's overlapping lens effects.

Shaping a .capx as we speak :)
