2D fighting template based in the game that defined the fighting games genre.
  • The example file is the default FB project. I added a test FB app id. The login button enables when launched from Construct, but never enables after exported to HTML.

    Link to .capx file (required!):

    sdrv.ms/ZRloWO

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Run in Construct 2 and see that login button is enabled with expected functionality (actual app authorization with FB not necessary)

    2. Export to HTML, open in browser, login button is never enabled as if the FB appID did not export.

    3. Also, where can the FB APPID be located in the the c2 js file?

    Observed result:

Login button not enabled after export even though FB id entered during design time.

    Expected result:

Login button should be enabled as the only prerequisite for this to happen is the existence of the FB app id.

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: yes

    Firefox: yes

    Internet Explorer: yes

    Operating system & service pack:

    Windows 8

    Construct 2 version:

    r119 -- latest stable

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Can't reproduce, login button enables just fine here after exporting: http://www.scirra.com/labs/fbtest/

Note however the login button doesn't work because of your app's settings. If you look in Chrome's console it reports "Given URL is not permitted by the application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains. "

  • Oh yes, I know about the FB App settings. I was just doing a quick test to be sure I would be able to have a working login button. My issue could have been the fact that after I exported, I tested on a local server. I'll have to publish it to a live server to be sure. Although, looks like it was just my mistake. Thanks!
