Black screen on GameJolt with every HTML version

  • Problem Description

    It doesn't matter what kind of game it is but every game I make I want to upload to GameJolt doesn't work. It's since I've updated from a version like 204 to 216 (was a bit late with updating), because I've tried to upload older games made with build 204 to GameJolt and those did work. All I see when I try to play a game is a black screen.

    How can I solve this?

    • Step 2: Export it to HTML -> embed
    • Step 3: compress to .zip file
    • Step 4: Upload as build to gamejolt

    Observed Result

    Game doesn't load, only black screen is visible

    Expected Result

    I expected the game to show the loading layout.

  • Could you please describe the step "Upload as build to gamejolt" a bit more detailed, so I can be sure that it is not an issue by your side of things.

  • Closing, this is normally because you did not upload the project correctly, rather than any bug in C2. Check the browser error console.
