Construct 2 To Expensive!

  • o.o my bad, didn't notice the ZAR there.

  • <font size="4"><font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">Yeah .. In my country it's over 500EG so .. I have to save well for that .. But still C2 isn't expensive.</font></font>

  • Totally agree. Back in the day when I was younger kid and living in my mother country Poland there was no other way then piracy to get any kind of software for me. Prices were extremely high for market over there.

I agree there with u, I have seen pirated versions of Construct 2, but I avoid using them instead I am learning Java and moving on to C++

  • with that price that construct would be a piece of junk but no, construct is a QUALITY product worth its value the business edition is even a great deal may not be able to afford it yet but save up for it like you would a phone or tablet

  • ok this is joseph farrar the main user of this account and i'm 16 and I have the buisness editions and yes I got it on sale but it still cost me $240

    Also , there's no lawn in Africa , only forests ! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • I think C2 is a product that you should pay when you know almost perfectly how to use it (the Free edition is really good in all honesty)

--my statement can't apply for profit, but that is not the case here.

so, take the time to learn it, maybe it will be in promotion by the end of the year (who knows), I agree that it is unexpensive, but I also agree that 120$ (or so, too lazy to see the price) is quite a lot, even more in this situation, so, if you want to purchase it, make sure It will good for you.

  • Whiteclaws

  • i thought the same first , but then i compared the other game creators and construct appeared to be the cheapest one .

after that research i can say it is also the best

  • and I forgot to mension you can make 2d games with it also

  • This person has the right to an opinion. I for one agree, Construct 2 is simply too pricey for someone like me who just wants to make a game without making money.

So, uh, stop being idiots and accept this guy's opinion.

Everyone's point is valid, but I don't understand why you would bump a thread that's over 2 years old to make the point, especially since every post by you is just to say this very thing.

Making a valid point is OK - trolling just for the sake of it isn't. It is strange that you start posting again just when Scirra are having a sale - curious.

    Please, enough.

  • if you think it's too expensive, then why dont you use gdevelop? It is completely free, runs on linux and mac as well as windows, open source, compiles both to native c++(unlike construct2) and html5 (just like construct2):

    http://compilgames.net/

The downside to is is that it doesnt have quite as big community and add ons. The two active developers on it are not working full time like Ashley .
