I am designing sprites for characters at the moment and really like the semi-transparency look when I use the photoshop brushes in my sprite/pixel art.
However, I AM worried about performance related to all of those semi transparency "pixels" in C2.
The game is being made to be played on PC (not phones) should I limit/not use/be concerned about using this kind of feathering effect? Will it dramatically effect performance?
Should I be using PNG 24 to get that softened look?
