  • Hi everyone, I am currently working on a game and I'm stuck on how to implement a feature.

Basically, I want to make a "tongue" for the hero, so when you click on a monster the tongue expand from the hero mouth in the direction of the monster. The thing is, I want that if the tongue hit the monster, it destroys the monster and comeback to the hero mouth and if the tongue doesn't hit the monster, it goes at its maximum expension and then comeback to the hero mouth aswell.

So that what I was wondering, I already tried in a way by considering the tongue like a bullet but I did not find anyway to make it comeback.

If someone who have an idea how to make it work, it would really be appreciate. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Thank you !

PS: Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language.

  • Do you want the tongue to come out of the mouth, like a boomerang projectile, or does the tongue stay connected to the hero and just get longer until it his the enemy?

  • Burvey I would like to make it stays connected to the hero and get longer until it touch the ennemy.

  • I would do it with animations in the same way as a hero with a thrusting sword. Make an event where when the tongue collides with the enemy the forward animation stops and reverses so the tongue goes back into the mouth.

  • Burvey Ok. I'll try that and tell you how it is working .

Thank you very much for your help :) .
