I too got the same error, and my graphic card is update to date.

    Expected result:

I am able to use Construct 2.

I am using nVidia GeForce 540M. And drivers are updated. Yet I can't use it. Also the previous version r139 worked well in my system but r152 is not working. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: no

    Firefox: no

    Internet Explorer: no

Operating system & service pack: Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit)

    Construct 2 version: Construct 2 r152 (64 bit)

  • This is always a graphics card driver crash, not a Construct 2 crash. Perhaps the latest drivers for your card are still broken. You should report it to nVidia.

  • Already reported, but no fix for this yet.

r139 is working well but r152 is not.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Got this as the response from the nVidia Support

    Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. There are a few options available to upgrade NVIDIA drivers for notebook computers.

    1) Primary Source = Notebook Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)

The primary source for graphics drivers is from your notebook OEM. These drivers have been fully qualified by the OEM to work with their specific notebook customizations. NVIDIA does not control the schedule for updates to these OEM drivers.

    2) Optional Source = Direct from NVIDIA

If you have an 8-series or higher GPU, NVIDIA offers reference notebook driver updates on NVIDIA.com for most GeForce M series and Quadro NVS series notebook GPUs.

Please note that drivers direct from NVIDIA are provided as is and do not carry any guarantees, warranties, or support. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of drivers on NVIDIA.com.

Notebook drivers from NVIDIA can be downloaded here.
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

    3) Third Party sources

If you have an older GPU or a system not supported by the NVIDIA BETA notebook driver, and are willing to risk a third party solution, you may try www.laptopvideo2go.com. This website hosts desktop graphics drivers which have been modified to install on a notebook. Please keep in mind that these modified drivers do not contain any customizations for your system, and will not be supported by the maker of your laptop or by NVIDIA.

Try installing the latest drivers for your notebook and se if that helps

Please visit the link below to download the display driver:
    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/71706/en-us

Go to Computer folder -> "C" Drive -> NVIDIA Folder -> Delete the Display drivers folder completely.

Please follow the steps in the link below while installing the driver.

    http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2900

NOTE: Please select Custom (Advanced) while installing the graphics drivers and on the next screen please place a check mark on perform a clean install

Please take your time with the steps and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

I look forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,
